August feeding is very important for an apple tree.
The fact is that at the end of summer the plant ‘directs’ a lot of substances and microelements to filling the fruit.
But the tree also needs to lay flower buds for the next season.
If you don’t help the apple tree during this period, then a year later the gardener is unlikely to get the same abundant harvest.
Don’t want to be disappointed next year? Then give the fruit tree phosphorus and potassium! And do it in August or at the very beginning of September: then, it may be too late.
How to feed an apple tree at the end of August
During this period, the following fertilizers will be life-saving for the plant: superphosphate and potassium sulfate.
For each square meter there should be 30 grams of the first product and 20 grams of the second.
Add fertilizer to the holes, fill these holes with plain water and bury them.
However, the products can simply be scattered around the plant (stepping back about half a meter) with subsequent digging of the soil.
A summer resident who has performed any of these procedures can be sure: there will be no problems with the formation of flower buds, the plant will definitely have enough strength for this.
