Hot days are especially troublesome in cities, when we are locked within four walls, and around us there are only concrete blocks. Such spaces do not cool down even at night, and the air in the apartment usually stands still. But in reality, even a good draft does not improve the situation. That is why we are looking for ways to cool down at all costs. Cold, refreshing drinks are in the lead here, and ice tea is among the most popular. In addition to it, lemonades, lemon, watermelon and cucumber are popular. Iced coffee, plain or with bananas, and even orange, is also becoming increasingly popular. We should also mention shakes, cold milk, cream ice cream, plus an ingredient that introduces a strong flavor. It can be peanut butter, strawberry syrup, chocolate or caramel sauce.

Ingredients for iced tea without sugar

The ingredients listed will make 4 servings, served in 250 ml glasses.

  • 2 teaspoons of green tea or black tea – can be flavoured.
  • 1 teaspoon of dried lavender flower particles – you can use more – fresh ones will also work, but then we add less of them, because the flavour is very intense.
  • 1 teaspoon of dried chamomile flowers (fresh ones can be used as an option).
  • 1 litre of hot water.
  • 160 ml of apple juice, home-pressed or from a store in the NFC version.
  • 15 ml of lemon juice or more, if the citrus taste is sour, add more.
  • ice cubes for 4 servings.
  • for decoration: mint leaves, lemon balm, basil or lemon slices.
  • How to make iced tea without sugar?

    1. Pour the selected tea, because it can be any, our favorite, also white and red, into a jug – it should have a capacity of more than 1 liter, we will add other ingredients to it. Add lavender particles and chamomile flowers. If you have the opportunity, a jug with an infuser will be best, it will allow you to pour clear iced tea into glasses. But there are also people who like additives floating in the drink. Pour hot water over the lavender tea (if you are using black, boiling water will be better). Leave it for 15 minutes to brew well. After this time, you can drain the ingredients floating at the bottom. Wait for the tea to cool down completely. You can also shorten the waiting time and simply add cold water to the jug.
    2. Pour apple juice into the jug of tea, you can make it yourself in advance or simply use store-bought, cold-pressed, not from concentrate. Squeeze in some lemon juice as well.
    3. Just before serving, fill the container with sugar-free tea with ice cubes. You can also throw in mint leaves, lemon balm, or even basil.

    Another interesting option is to stock up on flavored ice cubes. How to make them? It’s very simple. Put the selected fruit in the container for the cubes, e.g. red or black currant, blueberries, blackberries or raspberries, a slice of strawberry, a cherry or a pitted sour cherry, or a piece of orange or lemon. Pour water over the fruit and freeze like regular ice cubes.On the one hand, they introduce additional flavor, and on the other hand, they create a beautiful visual effect that looks especially good in clear drinks. The second option is to freeze fruit juices (puréed juices work well) without any added water. This is how miniature water ices are created.
