In order to be able to collect a decent harvest of currants next year, the plant needs to be provided with proper care in the fall..
First of all, it is worth watering well..
A mature currant requires up to 20 liters of liquid. But after that, you can think about adding fertilizers.
What options should you pay attention to?
Potassium monophosphate
This fertilizer can be applied in two ways. The product is used for both spraying and watering. It is enough to take just one spoon of fertilizer (tablespoon) per ten liters of water.
If you water, then you can use up to three liters of fertilizer per currant.
Superphosphate
In order for superphosphate to really have a significant effect on currants, it is worth carrying out special preparation. First of all, remove all unnecessary things from the trunk circle of the currant.
After that, it is worth carrying out the loosening procedure and making several depressions in the soil. Then we add superphosphate and sprinkle with earth. The depth is no more than ten centimeters.
Around one bush it is necessary to make four depressions. Then we pour three spoons of fertilizer on each plant.
