How to feed pumpkin in August: the harvest will be abundant – note for summer residents

The period of active pumpkin harvesting will begin in the fall.

At the end of summer, the summer resident should ‘help’ the plant.

The fact is that it is in August that the melon crop gains mass.

If the plant does not receive important elements in sufficient quantities, then the harvest is unlikely to be rich.

But if you make up for the deficiency of certain components in August, then there will be no problems with the formation of fruits.

So what exactly should you feed your pumpkin with in the final month of summer?

An expert of our magazine, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh answered this important question.

The ideal August feeding for pumpkin

To obtain the most effective fertilizer for melons, you need to combine the following components:

  • Mullein infusion at a concentration of 1:10.
  • Unburned wood residues (1 glass per 10 liters).
  • Potassium sulfate (40 grams per 10 liters).
  • Each bush should receive 2 liters of the resulting product.

As a result, the plant will not face a deficiency of nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus components.

A summer resident who has properly fed the pumpkin at the end of summer can be sure that a high-quality harvest will be collected in the fall.
