Milk jellies are a real hit.Of course, you can buy them ready-made from a bag, just pour boiling water over them. But they don’t even come close to tasting homemade. Not to mention that we use natural ingredients here. It’s always worth having a recipe for sweets on hand, and if it’s original and simple, it’s even better.Small desserts like these are the ones that little kids love the most, they fit their little hands and are sweet, and that’s really enough for them. For larger gatherings it’s worth sticking them on sticks , you’ll be able to help yourself to them without touching them.
Ingredients for milk jellies
How to make milk jelly?
- Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks. You can make mini meringues from the egg whites. In this recipe we only need the egg yolks. Put them in a bowl. Add cornstarch and sugar , add milk (you can replace it with plant milk, coconut or almond milk is best).
- Mix the marshmallow mixture thoroughly with a wooden spoon (or mixer) until it becomes uniform. Pour it into a rectangular or square container. Put it in the fridge to set well.
- Cut the finished marshmallow into strips and then into cubes. You can eat it as is. But they taste even better when covered in sprinkles. Just pour coconut flakes onto a plate and dip the milk jelly in them. Do this on all sides, pressing lightly so that the flakes have a chance to stick.

Milk jelly in different shells
As with most recipes, you can play with the taste here too, by swapping some ingredients. In the simplest version, we only change the sprinkles, which can be made from:
Different flavors of milk jelly
Milky, creamy jelly is the basic flavor, it can be successfully treated as a base for other versions. We can use both dyes (natural ones are best, of course) or add fruit juices or powdered freeze-dried fruits to them. This way you can create the following flavor:
And these are just a few examples. If you want a little more flavor, you can also add finely chopped fruit – berries and smaller currants, you can throw them in whole – at the stage of creating the cream mass.
Desserts with jelly in the main role
Desserts with jelly are among the simpler ones, but if you are making several layers, you obviously need to be patient, because you will have to wait for them to set one after another. These are usually no-bake suggestions, but it may happen that the base will have to be prepared in the oven. We recommend a few noteworthy suggestions:
